As a startup entering the competitive web hosting market, ScaleFair needed to ensure its marketing infrastructure was ready to support a high-impact launch.

With plans to run performance campaigns across multiple platforms, the team required a tracking setup that was accurate, privacy-compliant, and scalable.

Without a reliable data foundation, ScaleFair risked launching without the visibility needed to optimise spend, understand user behaviour, or demonstrate early traction to stakeholders.

Solution

We implemented a comprehensive tracking and compliance solution centred on Google Tag Manager, designed to give ScaleFair full control over its marketing data from day one.

We began by auditing the existing setup and validating all tags across Google and third-party platforms. The e-commerce dataLayer was reviewed and refined to ensure it could support accurate event tracking and parameter capture across channels.

To meet privacy requirements, we integrated Cookiebot with Google Consent Mode, ensuring that all tracking respected user consent preferences.

A multichannel tracking framework was deployed using GTM, covering Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Reddit Ads. We built a dedicated server-side GTM container hosted via Stape, enabling data passthrough, deduplication, and enhanced control over event transmission.

We also worked closely with ScaleFair’s development team to implement Stape’s advanced features, including bot detection, geo headers, and cookie persistence.

To accelerate the optimisation of campaigns, we also configured secure hashing of non-sensitive user data to improve event match rates across platforms.

Results
